About the Workshop & Retreat:

Who Is It For? Providers who support families before, during, or after miscarriage, stillbirth, infant death, or termination for medical reasons including therapists, doulas, photographers, nurses, midwives, doctors, and others. 

Location: The workshop and retreat will be held at The Sharing Place in Millcreek, Utah. The Sharing Place is a grief support center for families and has beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces that will be utilized.

Prerequisites: The prerequisite course is Holding Space for Pregnancy Loss (HSPL) which gives a large amount of content, theories, and models that we will build from in the advanced workshop. If you have not already taken this foundational course, you are invited to join Sat April 30 & Sun May 1, 8:30-11:30 am MST online. A recording can be made available for anyone who is unable to attend one or both mornings. If you register for both HSPL and the Advanced workshop, you will receive a $49 discount. 

Cost: The registration fee for this workshop is $399 plus a $10 registration fee. If you would like to register for the advanced workshop and HSPL bundle, the registration totals $499 ($49 discount). Cost includes dinner Friday, breakfast and lunch Saturday and Sunday, as well as sound bath, drum circle, and breathwork self-care experiences. 

CEUs: This training has been approved for the advanced portion of PSI’s Perinatal Mental Health Certification. 11 CEUs for licensure are pending approval from NASW.

COVID 19 Precautions: Masks are welcome, but not required. Rooms will be ventilated and outdoor spaces will be utilized as much as possible. If anyone is exhibiting symptoms of COVID 19 or has tested positive leading up to the training weekend they are encouraged to reach out to the facilitator to discuss options.

About the Facilitator: Camille Hawkins is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and is a leading reproductive and perinatal specialist in Utah. In addition to providing one-on-one therapy, Camille is also involved in community nonprofit work as the founder and prior Executive Director of Utah Infertility Resource Center. She currently serves on the board of Postpartum Support International Utah’s Chapter and the Utah Reproductive Mental Health Network. She volunteered at the Sharing Place, a grief support center for families for years, and worked on the OB floor of a hospital assisting families at the bedside when they experienced stillbirth or infant death. Camille is also a certified teacher through the Institute for the Study of Birth, Breath, and Death. She has personal experience with grief and loss through infertility, miscarriage, and the stillbirth of her daughter, Everly.
